Virus attacking childhood cancers

Summary: Researchers from Yale are looking at a virus similar to rabies but found mainly in small children and young adults. The disease is called soft tissue sarcoma, a cancer that is formed in soft tissue that connect, support, or surround body structures and organs. Muscles, tendons, blood vessels, fat, nerves, synovial tissue, and fibrous tissue are all examples of soft tissue. There is also another virus, vesicular stomatitis virus (VSV), that is also in the family with rabies. However, this virus is onolytic, meaning it seeks out and DESTROYS cancer tumors.

Critique: This "virus" VSV is FANOMINAL, however the bad side is not everyone has this "virus" so most people are vulnerable and not immune to tumors.

Impact: The finding is great but is useless unless you have VSV.
