Snakes in Arizona

Snakes in Arizona are going to change the ecosystem. Every year the number of snakes in

Arizona increases. This affects the ecosystem because snakes eat rodent’s small birds and can

kill even larger animals. Snakes alone are decreasing the smaller animal population and even

larger predators. The majority of desert predators eat these smaller animals as well. This will

decrease the food for the ecosystem causing the predators to leave as well.

Positives and negatives

Some positives are a reduced amount of predators, less predator attacks on humans and pets.

Some negatives less birds in the area result in a increased amount of bugs.
