Summary: Joshua and Jacob Spates were born in Memphis, Ten. and they were born joined by the lower spine and pelvis. They were succesfully seperated in a 13 hour operation. They were the hardest twins to seperate in 59 years. They were considered pygopagus twins which means that they were conected at the pelvis and the lower spine. The doctor noticed that they joined together in week 25 and soon after were born.

Critique: This was intersting to read because i love babies!

Impact: This articles impact is that maybe in the future doctors can find a way to prevent twins from combinding or figure out when they will so they can be born sooner.
