Panda bears

Reference: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Panda_bear

Summary: The panda bear is native to central-western China. They have black patches around its eyes, ears and body, which is how it is recognized. The pandas diet is 99 percent bamboo even though it belongs to the order of carnivore. They are endangered species with only 239 living wild in China, and another wild 27 living outside China. Only about 1590 are living in the wild. A DNA analysis in 2006 estimated that this figure could be as high as 2000 to 3000.

Critique: I like pandas because even thought they are part of the bear family, they will not attack unless provoked.

Impact: The impact the panda bear has on the Earth is a positive one because with out it, the food chain would be very different.
