Cancer

Reference: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cancer

Summary: Cancer is a heterogeneous class of diseases that is often large. It is a group of cells that destroys adjacent tissues. They grow uncontrollably and spread to places of the body and sometimes the bloodstream. Cancer can be environmentally caused, or hereditary genetic cause. About 5 to 10 percent are hereditary. If it is not treated properly, it can be very deadly. In 2007, there were 13 percent of people died due to cancer, worldwide (7.9 million).

Critique: Cancer is obviously very bad. I think that more money and time should go into trying to find cures for the most deadly types of cancers.

Impact: The impact cancer has on people is a very negative one. 13 percent of people die worldwide, that is a big number and that number is big and should be reduced.
