Rainbows

Summary: Have you ever watered your plants and discovered a rainbow? This is caused by the reflection cast by the sun on water. You may have a similar experience with a glass prism, and this is because it is clear, making the light refract in the clear object(s). Most rainbows have red on the top, followed by orange, yellow, green, blue, and violet. This is called a “primary rainbow”. The brightest ones can be seen when there is a small break in the clouds where the sunlight can get through the clouds easier. The water in the clouds refracts more because the water isn’t as spread out in the air like it is on the ground after the rain.
Critique: I personally adore rainbows. Many songs were inspired by rainbows, not to mention tall tales and hope. I am positive there is not pot of gold at the end of a rainbow, though I liked to believe it when I was younger. I wanted to be a Rainbow Chaser. You can’t truly locate the end of the rainbow, because even if you found it, you’d be disrupting the water on the ground and blocking the sunlight. Someone watching you approach it would say no more rainbow. If I became a Storm Chaser, however, I could see all the rainbows I wanted.
Impact: Many people love rainbows. They symbolize peace, joy and happiness. They are also great for cheering people up. The fact that they come after the rain can mean many things, like your life is going to get better if you try to make it so. They may have helped countless people over the years to relax and enjoy life like they should. A little color in your every day life is good for the brain, and good for the heart.
