Snake spills venomous secrets

Resource: http://www.biologynews.net/archives/2011/11/17/snake_spills_venomous_secrets.html Summary: A group of scientist have been looking at a poisionus in Texas and know why the venom hurts people so much and how the brain reacts to it. They have found that the vemon is mixed with two proteins that hold on to tiny little nerves called dectors and dont let go. This will make your brain think of an acid burn so you will feel a burn, and you will usually have to be hospitalized or you could die if not taken care of. These scientist are trying to figure out exactly what they can create to ease the pain and get the venom killed or out of your body faster. Critique: This was a very interesting article to read because it gives you a little bit of hope that people are finding cures for things that can kill a person, and hopefully they do. Impact: If these scientist found a way to help people get rid of their pain from venom then that would be a huge help. People that live near a lot of snakes wouldnt be as scared because they would know that if they were to get bit that there will be something that can cure them. Also if they do figure out way to understand how people feel pain they could come up with plenty of other cures that could possibly lead to helping people with cancer and other diseases.
