Getting the picture of how someone died

Summary: By doing a computerized tomography(CT scan) doctors have been able to find a persons cause of death without conducting an autopsy. An autopsy is the dissection of something to analyze, in this case a human body. It is mainly the first thing researches look to for figuring out the cause of death. With this new discovery of accuracy with a CT scan, they won't even have to conduct an autopsy. Due to some cultural and religious beliefs, people have been hesitant to give permission for an autopsy. This way, they wouldn't have to cut into the body, they would simply scan it and know the cause of death.

Critique: I think this is a good idea. For most people, we have seen an autopsy done on TV and it is creepy to think about. To see that there is another way to find out exactly what investigators need without touching the body is a very good idea. I think it will be give the families some peace to know that nothing it going to happen to the body of their loved one.

Impact: Again, the crime scene investigation shows we watch on TV have given us a point of view when it comes to an autopsy. I think that this will help the families be able to calm down a little bit when investigating the body. Also, this might lead to other ways to investigate crimes and it might help technology become more advanced and accurate in the future.
