Summary: For decades, scientists have been studying and digging into facts about the human brain. When you have a crazy work schedule, hectic family life, or chaotic student life, your brain may be completely over loaded. In a recent study, scientists have discovered that meditation is very helpful to the brain. It is important for our brain to avoid stress and anxiety. Meditation has been proven helpful to keep our minds focused and avoiding negative thoughts when our minds wander.
Critique: I think this makes a lot of sense. When we feel stressed or anxious, our minds tend to feel very overwhelmed and loaded with negative thoughts. If we calm down and force our minds to focus on one thing, we can avoid diseases such as attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder and Alzheimer's disease.
Impact: This study can change a lot of individuals lives. For example, if they take into consideration the amount of stress and anxiety that they feel, they can, in turn, avoid those subjects and may be able to prevent the various brain diseases.
