Eating Citrus Fruit May Lower Women's Stroke Risk

Many things that they have noticed is woman that eat more citrus fruits have a lower chance of having a stroke compared to the woman that dont usually eat citrus fruits. They have also noticed a lower percentage in blood clots and hemorrhages. So woman, eat more citrus fruits and not so much juice because of the amount of sugar. Impact: If more woman eat more citrus fruits then it would have a bigger impact on woman that get strokes. Critique: This aritlce was very interesting to read and learn about i recommend woman to read more on and to definitly eat more citrusy fruits.

  1. I think this was a good article. It is a great way to share with women ways thay they can lower their risks. Strokes are very serious and this is a way to prevent them. After reading this I know I will personally try to eat more citrusy fruit.
    Although, the types and colors of fruit do matter when eating these fruits. A study was conducted and they found that orange and yellow fruits and strokes had no connection while white fruits like apples and pears do. More women should read this article so they can beware of their risks. Good job Sammi this was a good article and is very impactful.

  2. This is really interesting. Strokes, blood clots, and hemorrhaging are all scary and dangerous. I thought it was good that you mentioned fruit juice, there is way too much sugar in it and there has been a lot of controversy surrounding fruit juice lately (especially orange juice). I'd be interested in hearing how much citrus they recommend; too much of a good thing is bad. They say an apple a day keeps the doctor away, does it work with an orange too? I love citrus so now I will definitely be eating more of it. That sounds like a really interesting study Maddi. I've heard doctors say that when you eat your plate should be a rainbow.
