Early Spring Drives Butterfly Population Declines

Reference:
http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2012/03/120316101634.htm

Summary:
Early snowmelt caused by climate change in the Colorado Rocky Mountains snowballs into two chains of events: a decrease in the number of flowers, which, in turn, decreases available nectar. The result is decline in a population of the Mormon Fritillary butterfly.

Critique:
Is there any way of helping the butterflies with food supply?

Impact:
Less and Less butterflies we could have, this could lead to more and more animals dying with the food amount decreasing.
