Summary: A monkey is a primate that is either New World Monkey or an Old World Monkey. Monkeys are known to be intelligent animals, with about 260 known species. Monkeys usually have tails. If it does not have a tail, it is considered an ape. Some monkeys are kept as pets; others are used in space missions and model organisms in labs. In China, Africa and South East Asia, monkeys are eaten.

Critique: I think that monkeys are very fascinating animals. They are primates, just like humans, and have opposable thumbs. It is interesting that they can swing from tree to tree using their tails.

Impact: The impact monkeys have on the Earth is a positive one because without them, our food chain would be very different. If it weren’t for the food chain though, they wouldn’t really have an impact.
