Border Wars 15 Strangest Finds

Reference: http://channel.nationalgeographic.com/channel/border-wars/border-wars-15-strangest-finds/

Summary: The fifteen weirdest places the border patrol has found drugs trying to be smuggled across the border. Five tons of marijuana was found in a shipment of watermelon almost brought across by a forty year old man. The third was 300 pounds of meth found in a shipment of seashells. The fifth was 1,965 grams of cocaine found in powder soup packets. 5,200 dollars of unclaimed currency was found in loaves of bread. One of the most interesting was chocolate covered cocaine candies in chocolate candy box. The drug smugglers are continuing to find more and more ways to hide drugs.

Critique: For me it’s good to see how hard our border patrol really is working to stop more drugs from getting into the U.S. There are many ways people are trying to smuggle drugs and we need to be on top of our border to make sure what we don’t want here isn’t here.

Impact: I think this should be a wakeup call to allot of people. Many people are blind to the problems of our borders and exactly how hard our border patrol work to keep us safe. Even though for vacation some of us may sit at the border for hours I think it is of good intention. The borders and what comes through the border does impact us.
