Eating Your Way To A Healthy Heart (If You're A Python)

Written By: Samantha Bernickus Resource: http://www.npr.org/blogs/thesalt/2011/10/29/141803711/eating-your-way-to-a-healthy-heart-if-you-re-a-python Summary: Scientists have found that the Burmese Python eat rats that are a quarter of their weight and that it makes their hearts bigger and stronger. The researchers also say that if you do this type of diet it is also good for your waist line along with your heart. So they are trying to see if doing this could help people with heart diseases, but they have to remember that sometimes diseases can cause your heart to grow and that is not good. Also most people cant eat something that is 30-40 pounds in one sitting which is one reason why we need to leave this diet to the pythons. Critque: This is an interesting article but if it cant really help people or animals then i dont think that its very important. Impact: This article would have a big impact on the world if it could actually help people with heart diseases, but since it cant there really is no impact.
