Summary- Information on rate of colon cancer has not changed since 1978 to 2011 according to the data from SEER Cancer Statistics Review. Mirvish and colleagues investigated the effect of varying the erythorbate level on the N-nitroso compound of hot dogs. They found that the current level of erythorbate is 500 milligrams per kilogram that is added to hot dogs. This reduces the N-nitroso compound to 2 nanomoles per gram. This would be 180 nanomoles per gram when erythorbrate isn’t even used.




Critique- It is what people do to the food. No one can eat perfectly healthy because most of the food now is modified hot dogs are probably to.


Impact- This wouldn’t be good if it came out of the dogs. The people who tested this tested it on hot dogs not actually dogs. The cause could be from people eating the hot dogs in a wa
