Summary: A new study says that there is an increased risk for coronary artery disease that can be passed genetically from father to son on the male Y chromosome. Researchers at the University of Leicester in England and their colleagues analyzed DNA from more than 3,000 biologically unrelated men in the UK and found more than 90 percent had variants from the Y-chromosomes belonging to one to one of the two major groups- haplogroup I and haplogroup R1b1b2. Men with a Y chromosome from haplogroup I have a 50 percent higher risk of coronary artery disease than other men.

Critique: Them finding out about this is probably a good thing because it will bring awareness to the situation.

Impact: The impact all of this has on males is both good and bad. It is god because the researchers are bringing awareness to the situation. It is bad because it is a heart disease that can kill males.
