Surgeons Seperate California Conjoined Twins

Summary- Two year old twin girls who were conjoined at the abdomen and at the chest were seperated on Tuesday at a U.S. children's hospital. The girls names are Angelina and Angelica Sabuco. It took a team of more that 40 people and more than nine hours of surgery. By mid-afternoon the twins were moved their own oeprating rooms for the 2nd phase of the surgery, reconstructing the area where they were connected. That phase of the surgery took two hours, then they were moved to the intensive care unit. Both of the girls have a scars from their chest to their stomach. Dr. Gary Hartman, the lead surgeon, said that the procedure went smoothly.
Critique- I think that this is amazing and interesting. The surgery must have cost a fortune, but it was worth it in the end. I wonder why the twins weren't seperated at an younger age.
Impact- I don't really think that this will impact the world in anyway. But it will impact that family and the twins.
