Summary: Foster kids are getting drugs for no reason, or at least, most of the time. In the foster homes, children are being prescribed anti psychotic medication even though they don't have the conditions that one would be associated with to need it. Many of these medications are for people with schizophrenia, though now there all considered to be all-purpose drugs for any kind of psychiatric condition. About 9.2 percent of foster kids are being put on two prescriptions at the same time. Even more than kids who are psychically disabled, foster children are being drugged, that may be a problem.
My Thoughts: Drugs are a no no.
Impact: Maybe we'll stop giving people so many drugs, I doubt that.
