Vultures Dying at Alarming Rate

Summary: In South Asia, vultures were dying faster and faster. Researchers and scientists researched the cause of the vultures to decrease so quickly. The cause of the decrease was due to an anti-inflammatory drug called diclofenac. Diclofenac is used in cattle, lamb, and other livestock. Vultures being scavengers, they ate the livestock carcasses and died from the diclofenac. Thanks to Lindsay Oaks and Richard Watson, vultures are now growing back to normal population.

Impact: Well, vultures are needed in food chains and other things so I guess it helped out that these people stopped the vultures from going extinct.

Critique: I like vultures so I’m glad they didn’t go extinct.
