Worlds hottest chile pepper

Reference: http://www.biologynews.net/archives/2007/10/27/worlds_hottest_chile_pepper_discovered.html

Summary: The worlds hottest chile pepper was found in Asaam, India. The pepper is called the Bhut Jolokia or when translated is the "ghost chile". To test how hot the chile is by SHU's (Scolville heat units). The ghost chile reached a whopping 1 million SHU's almost double the amount of the previous champ the Red Savina which only had 577,000 SHU's.

Critique: This is one hot pepper!

Impact: I think the ghost chile will change the way people see spicy food!
