Marine Mammals On the Menu in Many Parts of World

Reference: http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2012/01/120124151945.htm

Summary: Marine mammals that we know are not only being looked at as animals, but also for food in some countries. These mammals include Whales, Dolphins, Porpoises, Seals, Sea lions, Narwhals and Polar Bears. People around the world are hunting these animals for food and it raised a concern in several conservation organizations. Wildlife Conservation Society had worked to raise awareness to this issue and have fought to eliminate the threat to marine wildlife. Historical review since 1970 shows the significant increase in human consumption of these animals and it continues to increase today.

Critique: I think the the human consumption of these animals is unnecessary. There should be a limit to what and how many of these animals can be hunted and processed for food so that the population in marine wildlife is not threatened.

Impact: I have never been a fan of seafood so I don't understand why someone would eat these animals in the first place, but may be this could raise awareness to these people about the harm they are causing by hunting these animals.
