Summary: HIV testing is usually with a blood sample, but now it is possible to test for this virus using only your saliva. This study, which was led by the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre, showed that a saliva test showed equal accuracy as the blood test on high risk patients.
Critique: This is a non invasive and pain free test, and hopefully it will encourage more people to be safe and get tested.
