Summary: Oliver, a baby in Britain was saved after being born with no blood in his body. Oliver almost bled to death when an extra vein was formed in his mother's womb, a rare condition called vasa previa. When the baby was born by emergency C-section he was extremely pale and doctors couldn't find a heartbeat for 25 minutes! After being given oxygen, a blood transfusion, and a gentle heart massage the baby lived. After 11 days of being in a special coat that chilled him to 91 degrees Fahrenheit to make blood flow away from his skin and to his brain and heart for that they could heal effectively, Oliver was able to be taken home to be with his family.

Critique: This is incredible. Modern medicine continues to get better and better. The tiny coat that lowered his body temperature sounds really cool.

Impact: They saved a baby!
