why does our foot fall asleep?

http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Why_does_your_foot_fall_asleep

Summary: When you sit on your foot your squishing your nerves in that certain area. Which means that the nerves cant get a message back to the brain and for the moment, the connection is cut off. When you uncross your legs the nerves in your leg are no longer compressed, and the feeling slowly comes back to normal.

Critique: I knew that if you sit on your leg for awhile that it sleeps, but I didnt know that your squishing your nerves.

Impact: it could possibly effect some people if they sit on their leg for a long time but it may not effect them.
