Tornados

Summary: Tornados are made when a column of warm air begins to rise from sea level. Because it is rising, it mixes with the cool air above it and they blow at two different speeds together. How it is really started is unknown, but once the columns begin to spin faster, it thins out, like a rope. This makes it long enough to touch the ground. It ends when the warm air rises up through the tornado and the cold air seeps out around it. It sort of constricts the tornado, cutting off all of the air it is getting, and often disperses in a matter of minutes. There is something that I liked to call the Rampage Stage, where the Tornado does the most damage. This is when the storm is at its worst, because the warm air and the cool air are going so fast, the tornado gets worse. This can last for hours or for a few minutes.

Critique: Never having been in a tornado myself, I can’t really say what it’s like, but from what I’ve heard, it’s not something you want to get stuck in. It’s definitely worse to get caught in a Hurricane.

Impact: There are many tornados scattered throughout the United States, and no matter where you are, at least one – or a hurricane or tropical storm – has occurred in your state over the past ten years or so. Some last longer than an hour, but some only last a few minutes.
