Storm Alert

Summary: NASA has spotted a hurricane – oh excuse me – "Tropical Storm" on the Indian Ocean. It doesn’t have a name yet, just a few numbers and letters that only NASA understands.

Critique: I remember when Hurricane Irene was coming through the U.S. People got scared when they heard that another storm was going to screw up their lives. Again. Then when scientists told people to not worry about it because it was only a Tropical Storm, people got even more scared, because guess what? They said the exact same thing about Hurricane Katrina. Everyone began to make a big deal about it, even the scientists who said it wasn’t a big deal to begin with were starting to become paranoid. I guess they started to believe the public when it supposedly got larger on the radar.

Impact: Something like this probably won’t affect the U.S, because India is very far away. I am just very interested in the weather.
