Cooked Chicken Breasts Recalled for Possible Listeria Contamination

Reference- www.myfoxphoenix.com

Summary- More than 4,100 pounds of cooked chicken breasts were recalled they may be contaminated with a bacteria. The chicken may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, which can lead to listerosis, an uncommoc but potentially fatal disease. The products that are being recalled are 18-22 lb. boxes that contain two 9-11 lb. "Boneless Oven Roasted Chicken Breast." They have the establishment number "P-239A" and a package date of "1270" (Sept. 27, 2011).

Critique- Well this is not good because its contaminated chicken, its kinda self explanatory. A lot of people eat chicken so for some of it to be possibly contaminated and potentially fatal, is not good at all. I wonder if someone will die from this.

Impact- Well considering this involves a potentially fatal bacteria, I think this will impact a lot of things. If someone dies from this it will impact the family and the company. The company will have to stop selling a lot of their chicken, which means they lose money. So really nobody wins in this situation.
