140 new species

Summary- Researchers in California added 140 new species to our list of species. These include 72 anthropods, 31 sea slugs, 13 fish, 11 plants, 9 sponges, 3 corals and 1 reptile. Since there are still plenty of land to explore and find species, the scientists discovered these species on 6 continents, except Antartica. As well as 3 oceeans (Atlantic, Pacific & Indian.) The scientists descended to the bottom of the sea, and even found some in their own back yards (California) and even on Cameroon. Since they found these species, they plan to soon answer the questions, "How did life evolve?" & "how will it persist?"

Impact- This will impact us because soon we may find out more answers to our big questions and it will tell us the past of the Earth. We may find more answers to our big questions, like how did life evolve?
Critique- I think this is cool, because since we keep finding new species, what if there are millions of species more that we haven't found?
