Leopards live mainly in the grasslands and woodland. Leopards live in Central Africa. The species of the Leopards are still in numerous numbers.

Leopards


The home range of most male leopards vary between 12 square miles and 30 square miles. Also the home range of most female leopards is between 5.8 to 6.2 square miles. Most of the males have a larger home range. Study of most leopards home range size is mostly in protected areas. Only 13 percent of leopards range have actually fallen within a protected area.



Leopards hunting have a very broad diet. They feed on greater prey such as reptiles and amphibians. They will eat on anything such as beetles. They will kill more prey between sunrise and sunset.



Most leopards are light colored with dark spots that are called rosettes because they look like a rose. Black leopards appear in almost solid color because there spots are hard to distinguish.
