Astronomer discovers star made out of diamond

Summary – This was a discovery of a small but fast spinning star called Pulsar. It has led astronomers to believe that this star is made out of diamond. Further information about pulsar was collected from to other radio telescopes. A team of scientists has calculated that the star (pulsar) is about 600,000 kilometers away from the closet planer, which is about 1.5 times the distance between the Earth and the Moon.

Critique- This is amazing that people found a star made out of diamond. But who knows for all we know they could be interested about this diamond star just because diamonds are worth a lot of money on Earth. I think that if they had the technology to somehow mine this star they would and then bring it back and sell it like everyone else probably would. But the thing is we will probably never be able to mine out of this star so there is nothing to worry about anyone trying to take over this star at all.

Impact- Knowing that it is made of a diamond which is carbon based is interesting, since everything on earth is carbon based. It shows that other carbon based life forms could be out there.

  1. Excellent thinking, like your impact statement, particularly.
