Antarctic krill population stable

Reasource: http://www.macroevolution.net/antarctic-krill.html
Summary: Krill are small shrimp like animals that are part of the Southern Ocean food chain. They are important to other animals such as, penguins, seals, and other animals that eat them. Also they are impotant for people to eat in their diets. Not to long ago people noticed that the population of krill has gone up near the shores of the ocean instead of out at sea. Since people cant safely travel in shallow water people became restricted to do offshore sampling. So Joseph Warren an assistant professor and a few other people conducted six surveys from small boats near the shallow water north of Livingston Island, Antartica. They have also examined the abundance and distribution of krill in the coastal waters within several miles of the shore. They were ranging in the water from 500 to 2 m in depth. Then they compared their observations in the near-shore waters to the offshore waters. Warren said,"Although the spatial area of our near-shore survey is quite small when compared with that of the entire Scotia Sea, the high and stable densities of kril in the shallow water may be more impotant ecologically than the offshore krill." krill photo
Critique: I think that we people should leave the krill alone and let the ocean animals have them so they dont also go extinct.
Impact: The impact this has is that since the krill live so close to shore it may be dangerous for people to swim in the water because of the animals that will be after the krill to eat. Also could be dangerous for the animals if people use their boats to go out and get krill.
