new drug for radiation sickness

A new drug breakthrough in radiation sickness composed of antibiotic and microbe fighting compound may protect thousands upon thousands of people from radiation sickness and the aftermath of a major nuclear incident. The scientists tested mice, they exposed mice to a heavy dose of radiation, and a day later they injected the drug in only a select amount of mice. 30 days later, the mice not injected with the drug were dead and 80% of the mice who received treatment appeared healthy.

Impact- this is a huge impact for the people who live by telephone towers or live in a place where there are tons of radiation poisoning. This can be an amazing new breakthrough.

Critique- I think this is amazing. I saw on the news how many people were affected with radiation poisoning in Japan and if they were to get this new antibiotic a lot of lives can be saved.
