Satellite Images Help Species Conservation

Reference:http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2011/11/111117140629.htm

Summary: On small islands, certain species are in danger of becoming extinct. In order to help this issue, German scientists used satellite images. Using these images, they are able to control and be aware of the level of conservation of an endangered species. A specific island in particular is the Comoros in The western Indian Ocean. Researchers are able to to provide the right protection for the species living on this island using satellites.

Critique: This is a very important discovery. Many people don't care about animals, especially ones that live in across the world from them. If you can help protect species, why wouldn't you? I think this use of technology is very helpful in order to conserve special areas.

Impact: As I said, many people could not careless about endangered species, but for those who do care, this could put them at ease a little bit. I think this use of technology is very useful and could become even more useful in the future as it advances.
