new bone eating worm

Scientists discovered a new bone eating worm in the fossil from Tuscany. The fossil is a sea thriving animal that was thought to be living 6 million years ago. The bone eating worm is called an 'osedex' - they are responsible for eating parts of the bone before they could become fossils. These worms do not have a mouth or gut, but they consume bone by growing root like tissues which dissolve the bone.

Impact- I don't think this really has an impact of every day life, but it has an impact on how scientists look at bones and why they may be broken or dissolved in some ways.

Critique- I think this is somewhat interesting because we discovered a new species of new worm. :)
