food demand doubling by 2050

Worldwide food demand may double by 2050, according to a new study reported this week. The analysis shows that over the next 40 years the world will face major environmental challenges unless agricultural practices change. The scientists found that producing the amount of food needed could significantly increase carbon dioxide and nitrogen, which may lead to the extinction of tons of different species. This could be avoided, if technologies of wealthier nations are adapted to work in poorer nations, and if all nations use nitrogen fertilizers more efficiently.

Impact- this can be a huge impact on our generation and our kids' generation because we may not be eating as much as we normally do in these days, we may instead be eating less and less and we may run out of food.

Critique- I think this is scary. In the article, it says this may lead to extinction of species and I love animals. :(
