Summary- There are a lot of strange things that health experts over the years have told us to eat, but now they have come up with something that is stranger than anything I've ever heard before. For 2012 they recommend that you eat seaweed. It is big in the Japanese and Chinese diet. Apparently it is a great source of vitamins A, K, E, C, and B. Also contains minerals such as iodine, selenium, iron, and calcium. It helps to prevent the absorption of fat because of the alginate in it. Studis have shown that it can reduce the risk of getting breast cancer.
Critique- I don't like seaweed, to me it tastes like fishy water. But for some it is a delicious. Maybe people will start eating more food that has seaweed in it, like some sushi with seaweed. It's weird that they decided that seaweed is the new "Super Food". Its the weirdest thing I have heard a person should consume.
Impact- This will impact the company's that provide seaweed to the world. They may make more profit, they may not I guess it depends on the person. People may just eat it to prevent breast cancer.
