Cigarette and alcohol use for teens at historic low

Cigarette and alcohol use for teens at historic low

Summary- Since 1975 and the Monitor the Future program surveyed teens 8th grade, 10th grade, and 12th grade for smoking and drinking, this issue is at an all time low. But as this rate lowers, the rate of teens smoking marijuana, hookah, and prescription drugs gets higher. Also, alcohol is the drug of choice for teens today.

Impact- The only impact I see in this is that there are more addicts in drugs like marijuana.

Critique- So even though these drugs are illegal to teens, they are obviously going to still get access to it if they really want it. The more people smoking pot there is, more abusers. That’s about that.
