Introduction to genetics

Resource: http://www.sciencedaily.com/articles/i/introduction_to_genetics.htm Summary: Genetics are what gets passed down from your parents to you. What is in your body are called molecules that have DNA in them which you also got from your parents, but will also help determine why you look and act the way that you do. Darwins theory made ground work for evolution and them Mendle came in and provided missing evidence. His ecperiment with peas made him realize that people get their trates from sexual reproduction. Thanks to Darwin's theory and our understanding of hereditity today made birth to the scientific area called "population genetics." Critique: This is a great article to read for those that have not learned about genetics but it lacks information and to get the full understading of genetics you need to read more about it. Impact: Though the article does talk about Darwin and he made a huge impact to science today, without his knowledge who knows how long it could have been before we found out about genetics. So the people in the article had a big impact on the world but the article itself is not that great.
