back in the 50s, a scientist thought he would try to teach a dolphin how to speak english. using the thought of tabula rasa, he had the dolphin live with a woman. the house was flooded enough so the dolphin could swin and the woman could wade. eventually, the dolphin matured, and wanted to do things all maturing animals want to do (you know what im talking about). the dolphin would gently nibble at the woman's feet, but when that didn't work, the dolphin would slap her, giving her bruises. the dolphin was then let into a different area with other dolphins periodicly but the head scientist thought that would contradict all they had accomplished sofar (which was jack-squat), so the "visits" stopped. the dolphin this time tried running it's teeth up and down her legs and showing off it's "man dolphin parts". HERE IS YOUR FINAL WARNING. THIS WILL MAKE YOU NEVER LOOK AT DOLPHINS THE SAME WAY AGAIN! this time it worked and the woman would stroke the dolphins erection. after that, the dolphin was much more cooperative. after that and still no talking, they gave the dolphin the wonder drug of the 50s. you guessed it! LSD. while i bet it was fun for the dolphin, it never learned to speak english.
I'm sorry, but WHAT WERE THEY THINKING!? who ever thought that was a good idea. im starting to think whoever approved the funding for this was on LSD themselves. the impact from this is not anything really. nothing was accomplished except giving some woman the wierdest job EVER. OF ALL TIME.

"using the thought of tabula rasa, he had the dolphin live with a woman" Tabula rasa is latin for "blank slate" often reffering to babies and whether or not they are born the way they will grow up to be or if they grow depending on their enviorment. tabula rasa is the second part (obviously) so the scientist believed that the dolphin would grow up like a normal human babie (except for the fact that it's a dolphin) and it would learn english like most normal squishy human babies do.
