Teardrops Kill Bacteria

Summary: And people usually don’t like to cry. Tears are actually minerals in your body that leak from your eyes, like when you sweat. A certain type of antiseptic protein that kills bacteria was found in human tears the 19th of January this year. Bacteria that attempts to go into the eye and infect it are blocked by tears. That is why when you have something in your eye, you begin to cry a little. (Here’s something that helps if you get something in your eyes – personal advice – it is extremely tempting to rub it, but refrain as much as you can from doing so. Blinking quickly helps get it out quicker.)

Impact: Crying doesn’t hurt – on the contrary. It actually helps you. If you didn’t cry or sweat, you would die. It leads to strokes, dehydration, etc. I know better than anyone that crying isn’t what hurts – it’s what causes them inside that hurts you. I actually sort of like to cry. It’s a comfort to me – I’m weird like that.

Critique: Well I can’t remember the last time I cried. Some people would say this is because I have never experienced anything depressing. I’m a princess. And princesses don’t cry. I would like to address those people by saying I do know real loss. My beta fish Swimmy, Swimmy II, Swimmy III and Philip all died over the course of many years.
