Synthetic Windpipe Is Used to Replace Cancerous One

Summary: Doctors in Sweden have replaced Christopher Lyle’s cancerous windpipe with a synthetic one made out of minuscule plastic fibers and then covered with stem cells from the Christopher’s bone marrow. He is now in Baltimore and recovery well.

Critic: I think this is a huge step in medical science seeing that we can do
synthetic replacements helps America to know and prepare for the future in medicine.

Impact: I believe this has a huge impact on the medicine all over the world. We are developing new cures for sicknesses that have been around for so long.
