First Dogs Came From East Asia, Genetic Study Confirms
Summary: Researchers
from Sweden’s KTH Royal Institute of Technology found proof on November 23,
20011 that a wolf ancestor of domestic dogs can be traced back to East Asia. Dr. Peter Savolainen a revelatory genetics
researcher says they were traced near the South region of Yangtze River where
wolves were first domesticized by humans. Researchers call the region ASY and
found that the Y data supports evidence from mitochondrial DNA.
Impact: This
finding is very affective. Of the late, people from New Guinea learned that
they were 10% of another race, causing them to have the knowledge of having
more ancestors. This has been done with the same technology, studies, and
practices done to find the history of domestic dogs. Learning how the world
works is great but now also being able to learn how living things came to be
and adapted can help us survive today and have a better understanding of how
and why we are still here.
Critique: Finding this discovery was so fun! I have a
dog and this research helped me learn more about my dog. Maybe when man first
domesticized dogs, they made the first hotdog. JK. I’m pretty sure hotdogs are
an American food and did not come from Asia. The only way to find out is to
make a gadget that can tell the history of hotdogs. This thrill of learning
where things first came to be is very amazing for me. Only if they can find out
where and how the first music was made. But that isn’t anything alive which
makes me sad L

WOW! I' am truly amazed that people can trace a dog all the way back to Aisa, through reserch. This must have taken you forever! But what does this have to do with hotdogs? I became a little confused about your Critique.
ReplyDeleteThis article has opened my eyes to how advanced we are that we can trace dogs back to Asia. Your blog was very nice.
