Video Game Effects

Playing video games are a favorite hobby among vast majorities of people. But are these games good or bad for your health? Well video games in moderation can be very healthy in reality, but some take playing games to far and for to long. Playing a game such as "flash focus" for the Nintendo ds once a day for an hour can increase hand-eye coordination and vision, but playing for extended periods of time is a very negative thing. First off playing for to long can damage the eyes and cause headaches. Also keeping your body idle can cause all sorts of problems.

Pros and Cons

Pros-faster reflexes and better vision

Cons-weight gain and increased headaches.

Impact-if video games become more popular we will see higher poor vision rates among younger groups and average weight increase

  1. also they can (sorta) cause heart attacks. for a heart patient, staying still for extended periods can lead to blood clots, as a Mr Chen Rong-Yu found out last week. He was in a cafe playing League of Legends when he had a heart attack, dying. Moral of the story? Get up every once and a while. Go get a hotpocket or something. Also, another Pro is that video games improve problem solving & critical thinking.
