Summary: A recent study showed that kids born under 4lbs 7oz are 5 times more likely to develop autisim than babies born over 4lbs 7 oz. It's still hard to say if this is what causes autisim, but we know that prematurely born babies usually do have disabilities, and autisim is one of them.
Critique: It's a good article, and really interesting, but I feel like there is not enough information here. Did they study babies from all over the world, or only in one state? Low birth weight very well may contribute to the autisim chance but there are so many more factors that go into it.
Impact: Maybe doctors can help women with premature babies and help the kids not get autisim.
