First Ebola-like Virus Found in Europe

Summary: A virus similar to Ebola was found recently in Europe. This virus was found in bats and it is called "Lloviu virus." This virus is a filovirus, a filamentous RNA virus of a genus that causes severe fevers in humans and apes. The 3 types of filoviruses are Marburg, Lloviu, and Ebola. These bats are found in East Africa, the Phillipines, and in Spain.

Impact: People will have to stay away from bats.
