Summary: Hamsters are part of the Cricetinae family. They are rodents that burrow underground during the day so that when night falls, they won’t have to worry about predators. They have pouches on their head that expand so they can hold food in them for the colony or to be eaten later. They eat insects, fresh and dried fruits, vegetables, and nuts.
Critique: I like hamsters because they are cute and don’t bother or hurt anyone, unless they bite you. They also don’t take up very much space because they are so small.
Impact: The impact they have on the Earth is a positive one because they make great house pets. They also have a positive impact on the food chain because with out them it would be very different.

Summary: The skunk is part of the Mephitidae family. They are best known for the odor they give off. They are mostly black and white, brown, and cream. Some of the subfamily members are badgers, otters, and weasels. Skunks live in South America, Canada, Philippines, and Indonesia. They can be from 40 to 90 cm. They can weigh from .50 kg to 8.2 kg. They eat insects, larvae, earthworms, moles, and other small rodents. They also eat roots, berries, and nuts.
Critique: I do not like skunks because of the odor they give off. It is the worst smell I’ve ever smelled in my whole life.
Impact: The impact they have on the Earth is a negative one because of the odor they give off. If they didn’t give off such a horrible smell, the impact would be positive because they would only affect the food chain.
